WHY LAGOS MIGHT GO ON ANOTHER TWO WEEKS LOCKDOWN.
On the 30th of March, 2020, the federal government inposed a lockdown onLagos state and Abuja due to the alarming rise of the coronavirus cases that was confirmed. This lockdown lasted for 5weeks as it was erased by the president by May 4th, 2020.
Worries and concerns were however expressed by medical expectations on the ease of the lockdown as the experts think it was too early and risky to ease the lockdown. The Nigeria medical association through its chairman advised against easing the lockdown.
Lagos state is leading in the numbers of confirmed COVID-19 case in Nigeria and it seems as tho the numbers keep increasing everyday which is very worrisome.
It waa also revealed that on the 4th of May,2020, that not less than 16 medical doctors in Lagos state were infected with the deadly coronavirus while on duty. All these are no good signs for our safety.
Also Lagosians should learn to follow strict orders, using of the face mask ,sanitizer and avoiding crowds areas(social distancing). To avoid further spread of this COVID-19 pandemics.
